My grandfather used to use a tarp and bungee cords to cover his Town Car’s windshield like that on winter nights. Worked pretty well.

Can you get an engine block heater? That might help with the defroster faster. I’ve never used one so yeah...

I’ve got a cheaper version from another company - VERY helpful! Snow can blow in under mine from the top a bit if it is a windy snowstorm, but it’s so much quicker when cleaning your car off after a big storm...

Made the mistake of not putting it on in this storm from last year....very much regretted it...

My next door neighbor had one of these it was hilarious watching him try to pry it off his car after it got water between it and the window and then froze solid. Looks like it would work great as long as there is no rain/snow the night you leave it on...

A friend of mine used these, and swears by them. I’ve never tried them myself.

lower DS, All the sealant has been washed away. I just need to get in there and reseal it, but it seems like I never get around to my projects lately.

I just ordered a similar version (frostblock). I already have a 120V hookup for a heater, battery blanket and oil warmer. Got to try to survive this crap.

I’m planning on spraying it with something to help prevent ice from freezing to it easily, and maybe being selective about when to put it on based on the weather.
